The Host
Stephanie Meyer
You may be thinking "Oh golly, that's the author of (insert tittle). I don't want to read that!" I actually liked this book and I think her writing has improved. Our planet has been taken over by a silent apocalypse. They invade our bodies and minds and there is not a thing humans can do. But one girl, Melanie Stryder, just won't die. She gives all her memories and thoughts to her friendly leach. This causes it to become part of Melanie, love who she loves, hate who she hates until they're getting along famously. Then, Wanderer decides to go on a death road trip to find Melanie's family. What could possibly happen?
Reading:7-11
Maturity: A mature 11 year old could handle it.
I would recommend this book because it is a super cool idea. The language is fine and the characters believable enough to create a nice little chaos world. Great dystopic read for those going for the long haul.
